Successful Initiative. First Generation Graduated

After six months of hard work in the classrooms and the field, our first generation of local students graduated from our Sustainable Future Initiative. The final session was held on June 5^th to coincide with the celebration of International Environment Day. This project has been a great opportunity for the local community to get involved with new opportunities that improve their quality of life by strengthening their knowledge of sustainable agriculture.

Theoretical Classes

Our Sustainable Environmental Initiative is a combined program that will use a theoretical approach before every practical exercise. Among the main subjects our local students will learn about are public policies that involve family agriculture in Brazil, models of a garden, sizes for seedbeds, cultivation methodology, irrigation systems, types of weeds, fertilization and organic techniques for harvesting.

First Practical Exercise

We are pleased to announce that the very first practical lesson was held with students of the Ubiratan Diniz Aguiar School in Trairi, Brazil on April 11^th, 2017. This first exercise involved preparing the raised and circular soil structure typical of Mandala Agriculture as well as planting seeds for a variety of fruits and vegetables.

Sustainable Future Initiative Inauguration

We held the inauguration of the first phase of our Sustainable Environment Partnership at the Ubiratan Diniz de Aguiar School in Trairi, Brazil. The first class of local schoolchildren will now begin their six-month program, learning about the practical benefits of responsible and sustainable agriculture through both theoretical and practical exercises.
